Union Painters apply paint, varnishes,lacquers, sealers, stains, etc. using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Painters apply all types of wallpapers, vinyl wall fabrics and various types of coverings and coatings to interior and exterior building surfaces and to other fittings and furnishings. Painters make all the necessary preparations prior to application including removing old paint to prepare surface prior to painting.

How do new apprentices get their first job? The applicant must seek his/her own employment from participating employers, after meeting the qualifications to enter an apprenticeship program
