A Carpet, Linoleum and Soft Tile Worker installs carpet, Linoleum, Soft Tile, Rubber Tile, Laminate Flooring, Vinyl Composition Tile, Sheet Vinyl and a variety of specialized flooring. Duties include installing carpet, linoleum, and soft tile on floors, walls, and stairs at residential and commercial sites as well as preparation of surfaces, measuring, calculations, cutting and fitting.

Applications: You must make an appointment in advance to be able to register for the program. You may appear on a scheduled test date by 8:00 am to see if space is available that day. There is no guarantee you will be allowed to test that day. Auxiliary testing may be added as needed. 9:00 am second Tuesday of the month Apprenticeship Training Center.
How do new apprentices get their first job? The applicant must seek his/her own employment from participating employers after meeting the qualifications to enter an apprenticeship program.
