Acoustical Installers work primarily with ceiling systems that are installed in commercial buildings for sound control. These ceilings are hung with wires from the structure above to the metal grid system below. After the grid system is secured, panels are laid into place effectively covering up the framing, electrical and mechanical equipment as well as the structure above. Acoustical Installers utilize a high degree of accuracy to assemble suspended ceiling systems in commercial and industrial buildings while working on rolling or stationary scaffolding.
